Speaking of luck...

I found this old email from 2021.

At the time, the PEO we were using, Insperity, had an offering buried inside our package that we stumbled upon:

Executive coaching.

I, of course, raised my hand immediately.

Free coaching? Yes, please.

That one small discovery gave me the opportunity to work with not one, but two amazing people: Rodney Satterwhite and Sue Melone.

Their styles were very different. And I needed both.

I learned different things from each of them. Different ways to think. Different ways to lead. Different ways to see myself more clearly.

I can say with complete confidence that I would not be where I am today without that opportunity.

Sometimes luck is a huge break. Sometimes it is a benefit hidden inside a package you already have.

But the important part is this: When the door opens, you still have to walk through it.

If you ever get the opportunity for mentoring or coaching, don't let it pass you by. That one conversation you almost skip might be the one that changes the way you lead for years.
