I have a terrible long-term memory.
I know I played wiffleball at Tim's house almost every weekend in high school, but I can't really picture it anymore.
I played Little League for four years, but I don't remember one game.
I skied through childhood and high school, but I can't close my eyes and see a single race.
So when people ask me why I wrote The Problem-First Method, part of the honest answer is this:
I wrote it because 20 years from now, when my kids are entering the workforce and maybe wondering what their dad used to do all day, I don't want to have forgotten everything.
I wanted to leave them a record.
The stories. The mistakes. The lessons. The weird little product scars that taught me how to think.
That was what I set out to do, and anything beyond that would be gravy.
Well, today I received my first testimonial from someone who is not my mom. Love you, Mom.
And it made my week.
Thank you Denny, very grateful.
