Product management test

Seeing all these posts in my feed about impressions and reach being down got me thinking...hypothetically speaking, of course.

If you were at LinkedIn and discovered a bug that had been incorrectly inflating impressions, what would you do as a leader?

  1. Silently fix it and put the plebs back in their place.
  2. Face up to it and announce the change a month or more in advance.
  3. Roll out a new metric called Real Impressions™, run it side-by-side with the old impressions for a year, then deprecate the old metric.
  4. Do nothing. Keep it the way it is. Forget you ever saw the bug.
  5. Something else...
